Esterline Simulation Visual Systems, an Esterline Avionics Systems business of Esterline, announced that it has been awarded follow-on contracts from L3 Technologies for continued support of the USAF F-16 Mission Training Center (MTC) program. Esterline has been supporting the program since 2012.
The latest contract includes provisions for 189 SIM7 high-brightness, high-contrast LCoS projectors with built-in image warping, brightness uniformity and other multi-channel display features. It also includes upgrades to xRACU projector control and AutoAlign automatic alignment systems. The SIM7 is a high-performance simulation projector with several thousand fielded/delivered over the past 10 years. Esterline expects to deploy and support the proven SIM7 for many years to come.
