TREALITY SVS Breaks New Ground by Completing a Virtual Factory Acceptance Test
As COVID-19 continues to drive innovation and flexibility regarding workplace practices and project execution, TREALITY is stepping up to meet its commitments to customers. TREALITY recently completed a virtual factory acceptance test (FAT) from its Kortrijk, Belgium facility on a new Large Training & Simulation Dome (LTSD) set for installation later this year at an end-user site.
Due to travel restrictions our customer was not able to visit our facility to witness the FAT. In order to maintain program schedule, we performed a virtual FAT of the flight simulator visual system, a 7.3 meter direct-projection LTSD providing a continuous field of view of 300° horizontal and 135° vertical with 15 projectors. The video conference employed multiple cameras and technicians via videoconference allowing the customer to witness required testing, sign off on an important milestone and, most importantly, keep all employees safe.
